Notes: XML Virgule Language.
A data-driven scripting language that has been compared to Lisp and Scheme with an XML syntax.
At its simplest, it is an XML / HTML parser / validator, with the input being passed through to the output. The implementation, xvl, is dynamically extensible: you can create your own modules (similar and simpler in concept to apache modules) that are activated whenever an XML / HTML tag is reached in the input that the module controls. Responsibility for generating the output for that section of the document is handed to that module
For example xmlvl sites: Credits My thanks to raph as xmlvl is based on mod_virgule. Without his original design concept that sparked a whole flurry of other ideas, this project would not exist.

This project has the following developers:
New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.
