Notes:
netfilter-ULOG adds a new target to the Linux 2.4 netfilter/iptables subsystem.
Copies of packets hitting this target are passed to userspace using multicast netlink sockets.
ULOG includes an easy-to-use library (libipulog) for writing userspace processes receiving the packets. A first version of an userspace logging daemon (ulogd)is included.
The daemon supports plugins for adding packet interpreters and output-targets (e.g., for logging into databases, user-defined filetypes, etc.).
