The first ICQ clone - from which most of the others are derived, works in the command line
The original author died a while ago (2000) and other people are working on what they call "mICQ" (and even maintain that this utterly ugly spelling is better).
Personally, I (Lalo) reserve the right to keep referring to the last version Matt released as "micq", the one and only true micq, and ignore "mICQ", specially if its developers can't learn to use advogato or send polite email properly, or stop wanting everyone else to do whatever they want for free whenever they want.
