freedt is a suite of programs for managing "services": system daemons which may be started, stopped, automatically restarted and monitored. It is approximately a GPL-licensed clone of Dan Bernstein's daemontools, with a few changes and omissions.
At the time of writing, it's stable enough that several people are using it experimentally, but I'd still recommend sticking with daemontools on production systems.

New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.
