Notes:

Wikiversity's goal is to create and serve high quality free learning materials and online learning processes to the internet accessible world. It currently uses open source wikimedia software (GPL license, mostly PHP source @ sourceforge) on Wikimedia Foundation servers as its primary communications capability between ad hoc and pickup teams of learners and mentors. It will draw heavily upon other free projects and materials available around the web in building its local learning trails and study plan outlines but particularly upon its sister projects such as: Wikipedia, Wiktionary, Wiki Commons, Wikibooks, Wiki Species, and many others providing FDL'ed accessible knowledge bases for linking and reuse under the terms of the FDL.
