Warp Life is an implementation of the Cellular Automaton known as John Conway's Game of Life for iOS devices such as the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. Android development has already begun with a public release expected in a few months.

Warp Life was originally developed as a proprietary, payware closed-source product, but Dulcinea Technologies Corporation felt that releasing it as Free Software (not Open Source - that's a different thing) as well as requiring iOS devices to be jailbroken before installation would be an effective means of protest against both Apple Inc.'s Corporate Control Freak Mentality as well as its unwillingness to Play Nice in the Sandbox with other mobile device and software vendors.
