Freshmeat page:

The Virtual Object System (VOS) is a hierachical distributed object system, a desert topping, and a floor wax. It is an infrastructure for object-oriented network communication, and building flexible, distributed object networks. It also tastes good and will keep your floors shiny. VOS is a protocol and architechture design that you can use to build network application components (clients, servers, peer-to-peer nodes) for many purposes. The VOS reference library implementation is written in C++ and available under the terms of the GNU Lesser GPL, which gives you access to the source code, and allows you to link to the library from both Free and Non-Free programs.

New Advogato Features

New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.

Keep up with the latest Advogato features by reading the Advogato status blog.

If you're a C programmer with some spare time, take a look at the mod_virgule project page and help us with one of the tasks on the ToDo list!
