Notes:

The goal of Symbiosis is to create a secure infrastructure in which to provide any number / type of services (local or distributed). The services which will initially be developed are to facilitate communication of knowledge / thought between fairly small groups of people.

Of primary concern is the protection of information, so all data in the system will be encrypted whenever it is persisted to disk, or sent over the network (unless going over a protocol that doesn't support that).

A couple of the concepts which I would like to flesh out in this project are personal knowledge management (and the sharing of such), and content rating to assist in doing information quality based searches of a large knowledge base.

Currently the checked in code is from a very rough idea I had started implementing, and I have not yet had the SF folks clean out the code base to upload my current working (local) code set, which has a drastically different architecture.

New Advogato Features

New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.

Keep up with the latest Advogato features by reading the Advogato status blog.

If you're a C programmer with some spare time, take a look at the mod_virgule project page and help us with one of the tasks on the ToDo list!
