Superkaramba is eye-candy for KDE. develop stunning-looking radical themes that not only provide vital statistical information about the health of your machine but also present the latest cool toys in wow-factor ways. Superkaramba is intended as a half-way-house between the speed of c++ and the rapid application development of python, and, despite the initial ugh-ability it grows on you and you will be constantly amazed at what can be done. Superkaramba is NOT intended as a replacement for pykde and/or pyqt, and it is NOT intended to be a replacement for plasma. It really is a half-way-house that hints at what plasma for KDE 4 could become - a Desktop-storming world-beating way to take control of your computer, and make Windows more irrelevant than it already is.
