SURS - SID to uid Resolution System
This is an essential and very simple system that provides integration between the Unix and NT (originally VAX/VMS) Security models
The correct application and use of this simple system is... obscure, at best.
The aim of the project is to produce an nsswitch.conf-like system, with pluggable modules and configuration controlled by /etc/sursswitch.conf
Timothy Cole has written up a first implementation of this, however at the moment, Samba is using an API with identical functionality (because we are pushed for time, and are still working things out)
This project has the following developers:
New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.
