Personal Telco is a community network in the vein of NYC Wireless, Seattle Wireless and Consume in London. We started in November 2000 and are busily deploying nodes around the Portland, Oregon region.

The basic idea is to provide free (as in freedom and as in beer) network access within the Portland metropolitan area by leveraging 802.11b wireless gear, Linux/*BSD and residential grade broadband connections.

This project has the following developers:

New Advogato Features

New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.
