Notes:

OpenEXR is a high dynamic-range (HDR) image file format developed by Industrial Light & Magic for use in computer imaging applications.

The OpenEXR software distribution includes a library for reading and writing OpenEXR files; a math library with support for matrices, 2d- and 3d-transformations, and solvers for linear/quadratic/cubic equations; and a Half C++ class for manipulating 16-bit floating-point numbers as if they were a built-in C++ datatype. The OpenEXR Half format is compatible with the 16-bit FP "half" datatype in Nvidia's Cg graphics language.
