Notes:

The New Athena project (commonly called Gerald Athena) is an Experiment in new implementations of the systems used by Project Athena.

Some of the current enhancements include use of the Linux Autofs Automounter to implement the /mit hierarchy, and GNU libc's builtin Hesiod support for passwd, group, and services.

Currently many of the packages are somewhat out of date and were intended for Redhat 6.0. They work under 6.1 with some modification. I am currently waiting for 6.2 to be released before creating a new release.

New Advogato Features

New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.

Keep up with the latest Advogato features by reading the Advogato status blog.
