As the name implies, improved mod_frontpage is a better version of the mod_frontpage module that was released by Microsoft to allow the use of frontpage extensions on Apache. In the latest version (1.5.1) it no longer needs to be compiled into the Apache source and can be compiled separately.
Other features include additional security by performing additional checks, works along with suexec, per server configuration, works with mod_ssl and more.
This project has the following developers:
New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.
