Grapevine is the new gnome notification framework. It handles notifications of all types. It will allow notifications to come onto the gnome panel or in separate dialogs. It is a general notification framework that can replace some of the specific applets currently in gnome. It will also have non-applet interfaces in case the user does not run the panel. It uses bonobo as the base framework. It also relies on gob, gnop, libglade, oaf, gconf and the other standard gnome stuff.
