GIP is a graphical "installer" for GNOME, which means that you don't have to use the console to compile and install programs (Believe it or not). It's worth checking out even if you're a hardcore gnome-hacker. Join #GIP on irc.gimp.org and We'll tell you more.

New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.
