We launched the Firedraw project in order to make a free graphical interface for the Linux Firewall Netfilter(iptables, Kernel 2.4). Firedraw will have to be easy to configure. The goal is to be able to represent your network, graphically and to set the properties of each link on it : you will be able to specify the protocols and groups of IP addresses you authorise and those you refuse. You will be able to decide what you want to do do with each kind of packet. The properties of each element of the network will allow the use of all the functionalities of iptables. A description of all the properties will be done to specify everything 1 or more PC can do (single PC, server, sub-network, ...), and everything we will be able to configure on each kind of link.
This project has the following developers:
New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.
