Notes: In 1986, fetching some printouts in the printer room I saw this paper laying around... it said "The GNU Manifesto". Since then I've been involved in free software most of the time either as a developer or - when too busy consulting on software at work - just using it all. Some OS packages I've hacked on in the past: - Emacs - GCC (led port to AmigaOS for several years) - libBFD - ixemul ("Cygwin for AmigaOS") - X and a large number of other software packages, of course. Some of you may have come across my name at nic.funet.fi, where I've been one of many volunteers maintaining the ftp areas ever since the 80's...
