Yes, the Livejournal is still going strong. Look for me there!

Still working for IBM, but now I'm tech support. Step down from coder? I think not. Support is much more social and people-oriented, and after 5 years I've learned that if anything, I prefer people to computers. Funny how that works.

Okay, so I've been remiss. I recently (Monday) got back from a camp near Toronto. It was an absolute blast. No, I'm not going to recount things here, if only because it'll take too long. Send me a line and I'll tell you :)

Work is going slowly, although it looks like I'll be doing a bit of off-shift work (probably shift 2). Stuff is getting ready to ship and they need coders on hand to fix bad stuff if testing finds it.

HUNGRY! I worked through lunch by accident. Busy coding. *sigh* Who would have thought that I'd end up dedicating myself to a _job_. Oh, well. *eats hotdogs*

Whee! The boss took us out for drinks today. Quite cool. And I'm finally making some progress on the task they assigned me a week ago. Takes a while to understand this stuff...

WEEKEND!

Work today -- I learned all about how J2 works. *ugh* Talk about complex system...

I've also had a blast playing on FiranMUX (see below). I'm starting to get the hang of this role-playing thing. :)

No work again - network outage. *sigh* I'll never get fclear() implemented at this rate.

Saw the Princess Diaries the other day. That was fantastic! The summer's just been so full of wonderful movies!

Work today was a total waste of time. Network was out all day, we played games (frisbee, board games). Finally went home around 3:30. *sigh*

I've been introduced to this wonderful new online world called FiranMUX. Fantastic stuff, lots of roleplaying opportunity! Loving every minute of it :)

Whee! Day off! Sleep in... go grocery shopping :)

More work today -- some of that code is rather hairy to go through... *sigh* Why can't people do more design before plunging into coding frenzies?

Bills, bills, bills...

New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.

Keep up with the latest Advogato features by reading the Advogato status blog.

If you're a C programmer with some spare time, take a look at the mod_virgule project page and help us with one of the tasks on the ToDo list!
