My first serious contribution to the open source community is called the GNU Triangulated Surface Library .

I started working on it a few months ago in connection with my phD thesis in fluid mechanics. It is meant to be a useful tool for scientists studying interfaces between fluids and in particular topological changes and surface energy minimization.

It is also of interest for computer graphics, 3D modelling and scientific visualization.
