Just got my Wacom tablet working under Xfree86 4.0.1...
pretty happy about that, especially since the documentation
that comes with it doesn't seem to give you everything you
might need.

The extract that I use is below:

Section "InputDevice"
        Identifier "Generic Stylus"
        Driver "wacom"
        Option "Device" "/dev/ttyS1"
        Option "Type" "stylus"
        Option "Mode" "absolute"
        Option "AlwaysCore"
EndSection
Section "InputDevice"
        Identifier "Generic Eraser"
        Driver "wacom"
        Option "Device" "/dev/ttyS1"
        Option "Type" "eraser"
        Option "Mode" "absolute"
        Option "AlwaysCore"
EndSection

Then you just add the two to the ServerLayout section
like so:

Section "ServerLayout"
        Identifier "Default Layout"
        Screen "Default Screen"
        InputDevice "Generic Keyboard"
        InputDevice "Generic Mouse"
        InputDevice "Generic Stylus"
        InputDevice "Generic Eraser"
EndSection

And voila!

Spent some more time reconfigurating this computer,
putting Apache and Bind back on it. Registered a new
domain name, also - honbu.org. Hopefully that'll be
up and running soon.

This week needs to end so that I can have my four day
weekend and finally start on the projects I want to do.
Need to learn wml, both for work on my debian.org homepage
and for my local homepage. Also need to look on the WNPP
list and see if there's any packages with which I might
want to start working.

Probably will still be random ramblings on here until I
pick a project to work on and do so. If I'd actually sit
down and do something, though, I'd probably get a lot more
done... I act like I have less time than I probably actually
have. Oh, well.

Pictures of my wall are now up - ALS
badge and other developer caricatures
and the
poster Illiad made (and signed)
. The shots are a bit dim, but the quality is very
good; however they're 1280x960 or so.

Working more on getting my system re-set up after ALS.
However, things are progressing very well. I might even
have time to work on the French books I've picked up.

Meanwhile, I also need to work with LiViD/GATOS again,
see if I can get them running. I've an ATI AIW 128 Pro,
and GATOS is supposed to work while LiViD is still in
alpha for ATI cards, but maybe, just maybe...

Once I get used to these diary entries, perhaps I'll
be more profound, instead of just giving summaries of
the day's events... it's a diary, but still. Debian stuff
should also be done... I'd like to clean up the rules file
for TiK more.

21st birthday today. Visited by the parents, then picked
up some French books from a friend. Did Japanese and Perl
homework, also. Need to get a digicam in here to take a
picture of my wall.

ALS went well... met more of the other Debian developers,
and generally had a great time. Glad to see the ones who
met me last year remembered me, I was kinda surprised about
that. :)

Need to get some more coding in. No project in Design of
OSes yet, will get the midterm back Tuesday. NetI has
homework, but I'm sure it's just more essay questions, not
code. Perhaps I should try harder to come up with a project
to work on. Should really clean up the xlock changes that
Mercury and I made at ALS.
