To framework or not to framework, That is the
Question
As we begin on this gargantuan task of creating
an
all
in
one modular solution for the legal profession, we find our
selfs asking
Should we use an existing framework
or
build
the system from the ground up?
The amount of times we come across this Q is
simply
amazing. I guess it relies on the knowledge of existing
frameworks, how large the project is going to be and the
skills of the developers. If only there was a simple
answer :P
Considering the complexity of the modules
required
and
the
customization due to different laws and services in various
parts of the world a custom solution would be the best.
We will be starting on the pluggable core then
moving
onto
the basic systems such as scheduler etc. before tackling
the arduous task of creating an automated system for
property settlement and process serving.
Wish us luck and we will keep everyone updated
once
we
have
the open-source contrib areas available. Nothing is going
to be done until we have the whole system well documented.
