Hello, again. I'm now trying to see which project(s) to take on. I have a bit of time on my hands, and I clearly need to brush up on some of my skills. Guess i'll wander on over to the SourceForge and similar resources to see what needs doing.

Ideally, i'd like to brush up on my Perl, Java, JSPs, Beans, servlets, and various compilers/tools. Oh, yeah, i surely need to brush up on my SQL; i'm really rusty these days.

I do have some friends who are interested in putting up a particular kind of site (sorry, this is a family show--i can't mention the name). that seems like a perfect opportunity to blend all this (or as much as i want).

so, i sense a Linux box with Apache, Beans, mySQL, and a few other odds and ends thrown in for fun. should be a great workout.

i'll keep you posted as i work out some of the details on the project.
