Well, last Friday I got included as a developer on Gentoo GNU/Linux. Will start posting here more often.

The latex-leaflet package was being grabbed from an auto-generated tar.gz by the CTAN, so the digest was always wrong. That's been fixed by Bruce Locke.

Playing with gentoo portage a lot lately. My ebuilds for latex-packages and the (sample) leaflet setup got committed.

I've got some plans for patches to portage, at least for my own system.

This primarily includes USE variable tracking - keeping track of which use variables are used by each ebuild (this can probably be done through the use function.) Set this up as an optional check, separate from --update world to see if new USE configs are available.

I'll probably start hacking on this and submit the patches to bugzilla, but I'm not holding out much hope on having them added - Portage2 is pretty under way, is my understanding.

New Advogato Features

New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.

Keep up with the latest Advogato features by reading the Advogato status blog.
