I can't do anything to other people's material but read it, and a lot of the material can use some improvement, which is a little frustrating. I understand this depends on my certification level, but I don't know how to easily ask people to certify me. Consequently I have never become a participating user, visiting the site only once per year or so. I could use the blog feature, but why use it if I don't feel a member of the community? It's a chicken-and-egg problem. I'm not the only potential user with this problem - advogato appears to have been mostly dead since 2002. Some stats would be nice (Daniel's are broken.)

New Advogato Features

New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.

Keep up with the latest Advogato features by reading the Advogato status blog.
