Gosh.

I'll talk more on Monday.

The choir decided it needed some sort of group calendar, so I hunted around and found phpGroupWare, which shows great promise as an alternative to Micros~1 Exchange.

I've found myself getting involved in the development thereof - so far, at least, by breaking it and finding bugs. It's been a fascinating experience watching the project develop and grow, from the inside, so to speak. I've suggested an idea or two which have been incorporated, which is gratifying, and I'm actually coming up to speed on the code. Actual code! Aiiieeee!

Work, such as it is, continues at the Cthonic ISP with the soul-searing, non-Euclidean machine room.

At last!
Crack! Boom!
Wheeee!

I'll record the next big thunderstorm we have just for you mbp, and transfer it to mp3

I'm currently cleaning up a big crack at the Eerie ISP. Fortunately, the crackers were thick, and left their spore everywhere. Bah. Crypto-anarchic politcal statment my arse.

Concert on tommorrow night. Excitement!

mbp: rsync will be incomplete without a -nude option.

In fact, most utilities sorely lack for this entirely useful behaviour. Hmm. Must invent an iv command.

Hooray! Finally got around to getting ningaui.net organised. I've just got to find a host for ningaui.org.

Went doorknocking for the Queensland Cancer Fund today, Mad Dogs and Englishmen, &c. We managed to raise a bit of money, though, which is a Good Thing.

Hack, hack, hack.

Interesting day. I've been sussing out what I can do as a volunteer sysadmin for GreenNet. I volunteered ages ago, but That ISP intervened and my time was stretched. Now I've taken on a task or two.

Hacked around with some PHP ideas; Blind alleys can be educational. CPAN is providing entertainment also.

I've also been catching up on my QUMS paperwork - gotta write my presidents report, and type up minutes, and so forth for a meeting tonight. At least Bruce's place is close to Establishments That Provide Beer.

Oh, and we found the QUMS banners.

Spring has truly sprung. Can interesting weather be far away?

Time to revisit the Perl books again - it's scary what a mammal can forget. It's scarier still that a mammal can forget what that mammal has forgotten.

Fortunately, I did a Netizen Perl course at the start of the year, and I still have my notes and the excellent course materials. I think I'll write a tftp server in Perl, and gain valuable Evil Points.

Work at the Eldritch ISP continues. It should be a crime to throw out good Stallion serial cards.

I've got an idea for a set of AICSA choir management gadgets, wot we all can share and improve on. PHP or Perl? MySQL or Postgres? Beef or Onion gravy? I must form a working party - first item on the agenda, more beer in the fridge.

Gad. I got certified. Presumably this means I am officially certifiable. Ooo-err.

Currently working at the some wierd, other-worldly ISP. It's made a blood sacrifice already.
