Ok,

1) You do not know me.
2) Miguel isn't included because I couldn't find his e- mail
3) I am frustrated.

I have recently tried to become certified at advagoto.org so that I could participate in the improvement of open source code. I have been told that this is ``a closed, elitist site''.(Eric Raymond).

4) I am NOT a spammer or a troll, but I might be one of those annoyances that you mentioned in the `Trust Metric'.

I was under the impression that the purpose of becoming certified was to keep Troll's out, but allow most anyone else in. Again, I was mistaken because I was told

``
> That's right. You're not *intended* to get
> on there unless you either
> (a) know a member well, or
> (b) have a sufficiently massive public rep that they know you.
``

# grep -i ok abc | awk '{print $1}'

know_by_a_member
massive_public_rep

# cat /tmp/abc

I thought from the mission statement on the page

"What makes the system interesting is that it's attack resistant. If a bunch of attackers were to create lots of accounts and mutually certify each other, only a very few would be accepted by the trust metric,"

that the purpose was to keep trouble out, and allow in even inexperienced programmers willing to help with the project. I am sorry that I am mistaken. I am an experienced programmer but I guess I will follow my lone path.

Since Sam wanted in to help, and I was here to check the site out, I do NOT speak for Sam, but I suspect that he would like to be allowed in and do some good, so if you think it would be ok, please allow Sam in.

As for me, I looked for a way to delete my account, but one did not exist so would you delete me from the rolls. It seems that you didn't allow for that in your web page.
