damn, I am addicted to railroad tycoon 2... we played for 4 hours again last nite, me and my friend dirk and my roomie sibylle, who also happens to be my latest ex-girlfriend... every nite when I think to myself "hey, I better spent the night coding..." we start playing with those trains instead... I wish somebody would create a real dedicated server for rt2, or else I need more ram for my little bp6 box... so, today is sunday, I just got up and spent the usual hour or two sitting on my bed surfing the web, reading mails and newsgroups... I really have to get going on my projects, but the weather seems to be good today, so I have to go running, also we have a LUG meeting today... our LUG is called GULAG which leads to lots of discussion every once in a while when some politically correct person discovers our website gulag.de, oh well, I don't mind...

today was apache day. I needed a webserver for a new project, but all my servers had weird installations to begin with... and I didn't want to mess with those... so after compiling a few apaches on a few servers without actually using them, I finally found a server on our network that was "clean" and that I could use for my project... I a member of a team that is supposed to develop the GCMS (Goettinger Content Management System), which will of course be LAMP based... well, and today was the day to set the groundwork, i.e. apache, php, mysql, cvs, etc... I am almost done, I wish I could be less distracted by other projects, clients, email, etc...

summer in goettingen. wow. I vaguly remember what the sun looks like. I basically spent all day on my bed with my vaio and my cat on my lap... I should be coding some tools for a php-project, but somehow I get distracted all the time, surfing the web, IRCing or writing emails...
