Well, the coin still falls down heavily on the side of user rather than developer, but I've made a small start by contributing a Perl module so you can programmatically interact with Dirk at http://interconnected.org.

I've started to explore Mozilla's XUL and the way it works with RDF, and combined that exploration with RSS and channels, and have come up with a script that lets you build Mozilla sidebar panels whose contents are RSS channels. Here is where it's at. Still experimental, but should work ;-)
