I'm not allowed to post articles or things like that yet, but I have an idea relating to the certification stuff.
What about a fuzzy logic type of certification? Instead of designating a day as rainy or dry, it could be 75% rainy and 25% dry. Maybe something similar could be applied to certification. So someone could become 50% Dimwit and 50% Apprentice. Or 90% Master, 7% Journeyer, and 3% Apprentice (after all, do we plan to stop learning once someone has decided we're a Master? :)

I'm new to this Advogato thing, so I'm not sure if there's a way for someone to respond easily to my journal entries, but I'd love to hear any comments or ideas on this fuzzy certification scheme.

prash certified others as follows:

  • prash certified rw2 as Apprentice

Others have certified prash as follows:

New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.
