I'm lagging behind, as usual..

Anyway, chaos is developing pretty rapidly now. I've fixed pretty good PCI support, and a server that utilises this for setting things up. Bus mastering is also veeery nice, indeed. :)

I was on a bible study yesterday, in the City Church (Stockholm Karisma Center). It was one of the strongest things I've ever been to. If you ever happen to be in Stockholm, please contact me and follow me to the House of the Father. I promise you will not regret it!

I feel I should write something about chaos, since it's been a while..

Anyway, the development goes on. I've heard rumours about ATA (IDE) support coming up, but I don't know how far it is. Myself, I'm hacking on the ISO and POSIX libraries, which is really horrible (to say the least!), but alas nice to have. Anyway, I think I'll start fixing the PCI server instead, so that we can write drivers for some PCI cards (like 3C905). That'll be nice, but I think we'll need shared memory at first... oh, there's always so much to do before I'm happy. :)

Today, I start my vacation. That's sweet.

Also, I would like to let you know that I'm thinking about moving this diary to my new, all-fancy, cool home page. Hope you won't mind.

I just felt like writing some about my hacking business. I feel I haven't done so in a long time, but as usual, most everything can be read on the chaos web site. Anyway, here goes.

We fixed memory allocation for regular user processes the other day. We use a combination of an AVL tree (for physical and virtual pages), and a slab system for smaller bits than that. It gives pretty little overhead, and feels pretty neat. Now, things are getting pretty interesting...
