It's been an interesting week so far. I asked a pointed question at an "all-hands" meeting and as a result wrote a little paper which highlights all the free and open source software that we are using as well as the tools that we have internally which would most likely flourish if we were to release them with an open source license. Suffice it to say, in the process of writing this paper I noticed we have a LOT of free software that we use and quite a few useful bits that we could contribute back to the community in terms of enhancements/bug fixes/orginal software.
As things stand, I am unfortunately not able to publish the paper nor share any details relating to it. :-( Suffice it to say if the company does go for it, things could get very interesting.
FOAF updates: Trust rankings are now exported, making the data available to other users and websites. An external FOAF URI has been added, allowing users to link to an additional FOAF file.
