Started working on a diary importing facility for Virgule, the module behind Advogato.. This should allow anyone who wants to keep their diary off-site to also have it shown here.

I'm planning a GNOME diary editor app, as well.

My diary is now over at Helix.

Today I start working for Helix Code

Exams over, holidays starting. Let the hackfest begin.

Well, after a couple days. Heading to Virginia with Lizzie for a couple Phish shows first.

Spent a little time putting off classwork last night, and I looked into figuring out the database formats for my Doonesbury Flashbacks cd, which contains the first 25 years of the Doonesbury comic strip. I used it for the last time about 5 years ago, before I switched over to Linux.

So, I threw together a quick C program that dumps all the jpegs out of the big databases.. Now I just need to integrate the searching functionality of the original program and slap a GNOME interface onto it. Should be a relatively quick project - I'll work on it over the holidays.

Overwhelmed by schoolwork. I'll probably be overwhelmed for the next three weeks, as the semester is ending.

Just played around with Gimp a little, trying to make a logo for Rosetta. The result is slightly nifty so far.

Finished lots of schoolwork today, so hopefully I will have some time pre-Thanksgiving for a little hacking. I'm trying to (finally) release some Rosetta code officially. Maybe I'll make a yeti@home release too.

Uploaded a new sublevel of Think to Debian potato today.. Fixed my one reported bug.

Saw my brother yesterday, for the first time since he had gone off to college (at Washington and Lee.. Lexington, VA). Hung out for the evening at my apartment.. Looking forward to seeing my family for Thanksgiving now.

Lizzie wants me to mention her in my diary. Hi Lizzie!

It looks like I may be hacking something free for course credit next semester. I'll probably be doing a study in component-based programming, maybe with Think as a base.

New Advogato Features

New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.

Keep up with the latest Advogato features by reading the Advogato status blog.

If you're a C programmer with some spare time, take a look at the mod_virgule project page and help us with one of the tasks on the ToDo list!
