So, three years without logging into this site, and I still got the password right at first. Perhaps I should stop using several-year-old passwords. Really, I feel ashamed about that.
Updated some general info, and now for the real (old) news. I quit working for Conectiva at the end of November, 2002. The move to a new company also made me take some time to consider the other free Unix-likes out there. That had been in my plans for long before I got out of Conectiva, so this is not any expression of resentment. I actually still use Conectiva Linux, advocate it (and Conectiva) and like it (and Conectiva). I just wanted to change a bit.
In this new company I work with several kinds of Unixes (in our clients, inside it's usually Linux/*BSD), so that experience together with some free time in a business trip made me look at the BSDs, and specially OpenBSD. I really fell in love with it, so I'm getting used to it as I slowly move my production platform from Conectiva Linux to OpenBSD. I am really enjoying the experience, but of course there will always be room in my disks for some new version of Conectiva Linux.
Well, that's it. Oh, no it isn't. Considering that my last post here was about three years ago, I must add that I have a lovely two-year-old son.
Also considering that my last post here was about three years ago, I think it's quite obvious that I'm never going to log in here again.
So goodbye. ;-)
