Talk about overkill...
Since we work on some quite potent compounds here I was
becoming concerned about taking my old faithful calculator
in and out of the lab (even though I'm careful not to use it
when
wearing gloves). I thus asked our administrative assistant
if I could have a second one. On Friday a box duly arrived
from the office supplier. Instead of the basic Casio I
expected it contained a TI-89 Titanium. Yikes! It will take
some getting used to but it looks like a lot of fun. I'm
hoping it doesn't fall into the gap of
Too complex for
a calculator but not enough functionality to be a mobile
desktop. I have switched off the "Desktop" and I'll
probably delete some of the more obscure applications
(2,201,911 in FlashApp!) but so far so good. I may
eventually end up
switching to
PedroM for all
its GPL goodness.
