Notes:
I'm not much of a programmer, admittedly, I'm a Sys Admin by trade - specifically, Senior Sys Admin over at Community Connect. CCI's sort of noteworthy in that we're the largest PHP site in the world, to the best of my knowledge. It's also a very cool place to work, with a lot of interesting technology, quite a bit of it homegrown (we've got the developer of mod_log_spread, also a contributor to mod_backhand, and we developed APC, a php cache which makes it much, much faster...). It's probably the most friendly company I've ever worked at, and also the most open-source friendly company I've ever worked at.
Anyway, I do help out where I can. I've been using Netsaint for years now, and have been a long-time member of the mailing list, have contributed some plugins, done beta-testing and bug-reporting, etc. Somehow I became the lead developer for LJ::TextMessage, a perl module for LiveJournal. Finally, I also work on some personal projects and release them to the world in case anyone finds them useful. I keep those here.
Released version 0.5 of NANS. Looks like Ethan will still be making the Product Formerly Known as Netsaint, but under a different name. The first version is due out sometime around the end of the year. This is a good thing.
Ethan has decided to cease work on Netsaint after 0.0.7, potentially forever. :(
Go here: http://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/netsaint-announce to read more about it.
This is really depressing. Evil corporations aren't supposed to win. Sigh.
