I'm not much of a programmer, admittedly, I'm a Sys Admin by trade - specifically, Senior Sys Admin over at Community Connect. CCI's sort of noteworthy in that we're the largest PHP site in the world, to the best of my knowledge. It's also a very cool place to work, with a lot of interesting technology, quite a bit of it homegrown (we've got the developer of mod_log_spread, also a contributor to mod_backhand, and we developed APC, a php cache which makes it much, much faster...). It's probably the most friendly company I've ever worked at, and also the most open-source friendly company I've ever worked at.

Anyway, I do help out where I can. I've been using Netsaint for years now, and have been a long-time member of the mailing list, have contributed some plugins, done beta-testing and bug-reporting, etc. Somehow I became the lead developer for LJ::TextMessage, a perl module for LiveJournal. Finally, I also work on some personal projects and release them to the world in case anyone finds them useful. I keep those here.

Lots going on all over.

Released version 0.5 of NANS. Looks like Ethan will still be making the Product Formerly Known as Netsaint, but under a different name. The first version is due out sometime around the end of the year. This is a good thing.

Ethan has decided to cease work on Netsaint after 0.0.7, potentially forever. :(

Go here: http://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/netsaint-announce to read more about it.

This is really depressing. Evil corporations aren't supposed to win. Sigh.

Just released the Netsaint Aggregate Notification System v0.3, the first real release. Get it here. It's a really cool (well, in my opinion ;) ) add-on to Netsaint, that aggregates and summarizes the notification emails/pages that it sends out... anyway, I'll admit it's nothing special, but it's really useful and no one else bothered to write it, so I did. :) Woohoo.
