Notes:

I'm mostly a mac geek, graphic artist, web designer. I was exposed to open source software through Linux on the 68k macs. It seemed pretty cool until I discovered NetBSD, then I was hooked. I've put NetBSD on a series of Mac, for fun at first until I started working at a small ad agency and set-up a NAT server for their cable modem with a Quadra 650 that was gathering dust in a corner. Needless to say, I can't wait for OS X and the G4 I'm itching to buy. I kick myself for never taking a progamming classes in school (I studied Acting of all things). I've picked up the O'Reilly book Practical C++ Programming and I'm working my way through the excercises in between teaching myself Flash for a project I'm working on for a client and just plain trying to make a living. I'd like to be able to get good enough to contribute to the Darwin project but from where I stand right now, it's just a pipe dream.

Trying to set up Fetchmail on my NetBSD/macppc box. My idea is have Fetchmail get the mail from my three different accounts and log onto the box using IMAP from work or home or where ever and not have to think about if I've read a piece of mail before. Seems like it should work. I think I've got Fetchmail working but IMAP is still giving me some fits. I'll just keep trying.

New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.
