Notes:

Hmm, hopefully I will write some better notes later.

I've written a small quantity of random stuff, some of which I should probably make available to the world (I have to find the right floppy...):

  • Probably my first real program was a DOS TSR that changed the textmode font (in a persistent way that survived mode changes, etc, and worked on most BIOS-supported text modes). Probably the closest I've come to actually writing a complete program...
  • I favourite project of mine that I like to mess with from time to time is messing around with writing a Python/ncurses IRC client
  • Another project I like to kick around every few months or so is yet another Scorched Earth clone for Linux...I've got as far as being able to draw a simple map and firing simple projectiles at each other...
  • An svgalib example program I wrote when I was bored.
Other random interests:
  • Typography - I seem to be obsessed with nice fonts. If only I had the time, hardware, software and ability to create my own fonts... :P
  • video modes - I hand-roll modelines in my sleep, both for svgatextmode and X
