I've not been developing software very long (just 3 years now), but am gravitated to the FS philosophy and culture. Ever since i started using Linux and such open technologies like Python, Ruby and the Mozilla Platform, I realized I have the responsibility to not merely use, but to contribute to the community. I have not worked in C/C++ on 'real' projects, but my work with Python and Ruby convince me that there are some projects I might be able to give a hand in. Like SourceForge, Git, StackOverFlow and HN, when I found out about Advogato, I knew I had more chances to find a way to contribute, so I joined, and I love it.

New Advogato Features

New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.

Keep up with the latest Advogato features by reading the Advogato status blog.

If you're a C programmer with some spare time, take a look at the mod_virgule project page and help us with one of the tasks on the ToDo list!
