Our development group already did quite a lot. But one thing is quite bad - we lost our web-designer. I don't know what exactly I'll do, but I am weak at such things as web-design, other programmers are just the same and artists of course, too. Maybe someone will join us then.

I read about opject-oriented design lots of time. I am going to use pattern Singleton in my project, but I still try to understand how it works.

I organized a developer group. There are 6 of us now.

I finally finished my Tetris. And now I decided to read some Gradi Bouch. I am going to remake design of my program and improve it a lot.

At the moment I try to decide what to do: improve my Tetris (better to say re-write it with the other design) or write some other game (nothing more difficult than Tetris). A friend of mine gave an advice to improve my Tetris (in code point of view), but I still don't know.

Life

Decided to speak to an old friend who is angry with me for about half of the year. Want to continue our project with him, but most likely he won't reply me. He was too angry with me and so on. So, most likely I'll have to create my own project all by myself...

Was programming tetris and then decided to take some rest and watched Miss Congenuinity with Sandra Bullock. Well.. I think I should train a little bit. Tomorrow will go with my bike, maybe will become more beautiful :'(

Don't like scientific girls more and more. If I only could, I would forget all the things I know in physics and maths and programming and spend all those hours I spent with my PC and other gargets doing some exercises and all the money I spend for trainings... Females should be females.. but I am too old now to become Miss Universe, so I'll better go and finish implementing my Tetris classes..

Ideas for day

Day by day I try to create something new (something that I've never done before), and today I found out, that I've never created Tetris in my life. All of my hardcore game development friends wrote it when they were 11-12 years and I've never tried. Now I have time and just decided to implement the idea of Tetris. The favourite game of my grandmother. Of course, there are two more projects left to write, but I just want to rest and write Tetris. And as soon as I finish it I'll feel satisfied and can finish both of projects as quickly as possible.

Games

Yesterday played STOLEN. Enjoyed it a lot. Graphics is quite bad, sometimes shadows have bugs and textures, too, and it eats lots of resourses, but the gameplay is absolutely wonderful. I almost finished the first level (there were 4 levels - musium, prison and so on), and I felt myself the thief. It's a pity it's impossible to kill during the game.

Then looked at Playboy : The Mantion. I watched it during our Russian game development conference, when it was just in a project. Now it's available. I didn't like it. Very bad game design, very bad graphics, absolutely bad models and so on. I was quite surpriced that so large project was so bad.

New Advogato Features

New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.

Keep up with the latest Advogato features by reading the Advogato status blog.
