This day is called Saturday. No, more correctly, it is
already called Sunday .... however ...

It was the big GNOME Applets Manual day for me.
Basically, more or less everything I did today had to do
something with documentation in gnome-applets.

First of all, I helped John Fleck to get his docs checked
into CVS. Not a very difficult job, just a whole bunch of
work to get all the Makefile.am stuff done - hey guys, can
you imagine that I don't even want to be #1 on
Havoc's score-o-matic .... :)

Ok, it's nice to be #1 .... sure - but back to more
constructive things.

After a little discussion with telsa in #docs, I liked the
idea to have a big GNOME Applets Manual with the docs
from all the applets in it and I started hacking on it.

Well, the first step towards this GNOME Applets
Manual is now done and it already works for
modemlights, webcontrol and diskusage
... more applets to come.

We need to contact the two applet authors who also write
docs for their applets to reformat them so they only have
a single <sect1> in them.

Hmm ... to summarize, it's getting fun to "work with"
documentation ...

Until another day.

Tomorrow will be Friday and another week will come to
its end. A week when I was rather productive ...

First of all, I did some work in gnome-applets. Implemented
size and orientation hints in the multiload and disk usage
applet; especially the latter one looks much better with
non-standard panel sizes.

I also registered myself as developer contact in the GDP
doctable for most of the applets I ever worked on
(multiload, diskusage, modemlights, ...) and some
other things (guname, gtop, ...). Also helped John Fleck
with the documentation for the diskusage and modemlights
applets.

The other big thing I did this week is LibGTop. I made
some test snapshot tarballs and Aron Griffis helped me
to get them compile on Tru64 UNIX.

I also restored Solaris from my DDS2 tape and made some
Solaris work for LibGTop. It does now more or less work
on Solaris 7 i386.

On Monday, I'll go to CeBit in Hannover for a day - so
it's time for my weekend now ...

So another day has passed now.

Did a lot of work on the multiload applet today. We can
now have several cpuload applets with different size and
configuration etc. Also added a nice load average applet.

It's already late at night and slowly getting time for
me to go to bed now. Another long night of GNOME hacking
has passed ...

First of all, I finished my docbook-gnome debian packages
and made them apt-getable on my site. This is very cool
since it makes this docbook stuff much easier on Debian
now.

I also wrote the missing announcements about LibGTop 1.0.7,
1.1.2.1 and 1.1.5 and probably made people that confused
with this that I needed to write another mail explaining
people which one of them to use.

Also send the announcement of GTop 1.0.7 so people now
know that there's a nice manual which has been written
by Telsa Gwynne and which they can now read to understand
what Gtop does.

Finally, updated my homepage - after Jacob changed the
layout of the GNOME FTP site, many of my links have gotten
invalid and it was time to fix them. At this occasion, I
also put the recently released tarballs and their
announcements on the site.

The html versions of the LibGTop 1.1.4 and 1.1.5
annoucements are still missing, but I need to look at
this stuff anyways when I do some more work on the
documentation for 1.1.x somewhere in the next few weeks.

After nearly two weeks of absence I'm now finally back.
That exam in measure theory was good and I'm very confident
that I passed it.

Now it's time for me to start with GNOME hacking again.

After implementing panel size and orientation hints in
the multiload applet and I'll later on write the missing
announcements for the GUADEC CD's LibGTop + GTop released
I did on wednesday and read all my yet unread mail ...
