Long time no diary! Many random hacks:
- Released Distel version 3.0. It's now a pretty solid Emacs-based UI toolkit for Erlang programs, as well as a respectable IDE implemented in itself. Definitely my most fun hack so far in this life.
- Entered the ICFP 2002 Programming Contest.
- Did some very basic low-level network hacking in Common Lisp. Just enough to respond to ARP requests over ethernet, implemented via Linux tunnel devices. Now starting to think about IP.
- As part of the Language of the Year project, ported the solution to the Nine 9s problem that demoncrat and I did from Common Lisp to Haskell, and am awaiting critical feedback. Warning: Spoiler!
And, learned to use Word and Powerpoint at work - obviously signaling a great disturbance in the Force.
(I also crashed Netscape right before posting this article, and am delighted to find that Advogato preserved it.)
