so, had a really shitty day today, life-wise... just about working out what a total fuckup i've really made of bits of it.

work is better than that - learning more stuff about postgres etc. I expect i'll be ok in a day or two anyway..

life

Had some days off work, with Jo and went to London for a couple of days. Saw cats, the musical - was stunning - can't believe it closes in the west end and on broadway in eleven days - catch it if you can. Had food at a great pub near there.
After a stop over in a travellodge (not adventurous, but at least we knew what we were getting) we had food at bagelmania - how good is that place? Hot chocolate was more hot than chocolate tho...
We met up with an old friend of Jo's and his gf, and went for drinks and food in a mexican eatery in leicester square, whose name escapes me now.. nice cocktails tho.. Update: savs reckons it's called "chiquitas"... cheers matey.
BBQ at the parental being's this evening, which should be good..

Yay!!! Got the dreaded Vigor/Westell hardware combination working - turns out my wire was too long (oo-er).

Worked out postgresql (Well, enough to get going on the project, anyway. Now looking at the perl DBI, which looks very funky.

Cursing: fujitsu, BT, and BT again for good measure
Singing praises of:Co-op, for their cumberland sausages, and ROX-Filer.
Listening to: Dodgy 80's stuff played by Jo-Jo.

Rah.

That was short and sweet then.

Well, did the back garden thing, but only in relation to burning the weeds from between the paving slabs...

gah... adsl from pipex is b0rked again. I don't think this is the same problem that slef has with his, as apparently my exchange doesn't have that sort of hardware in it. I imagine it just some common or garden fsck-up from Pipex.

So, paying for internet access by the second, how quaint.

Ahh well, got to go have a free lunch now (nightmare, i know).
