Wow, long time no diary update
Running FreeBSD now, its better then Linux for my usage, I love the ports. Made Crossfire work a little bit better on my machine and BSD machines in general.
Crossfire is a very cool RPG, I host a server. Now I am trying to contribute in other ways.
RRD Tool is great for making nice graphics of time related data, like users, network traffic and such. Checkout these Crossfire stats generated with RRDTool here.

You can find me on the IRC network of OpenProjects (http://www.openprojects.net), #crossfire

After weeks of Jellybean idleness, I found some bugs and did a patch for Jellybean.
Version 0.08 is out, get your own copy!

I tried the BeOS thing, it is promising... Not enough drivers, not enough software and not enough opensource.

Yeah, I finished the translation. It was hard to do it, cause Counter-Strike 6.5 was just released ;) It's on the CVS Repository of Java Newsticker. It was my first CVS commit, I am proud of it. Maybe I have a CVS aware future.

While reading some XP (Extreme Programming) docs, I wondered how you can do pair programming and daily face-to-face meatings if you are working for an opensource project with contributers all around the world. Will a chatbox do?

Questions

What is Extreme Programming about? Lots to read, I'll do the Dutch to English translation for Java NewsTicker tomorrow. (I have told myself that too yesterday)

Why should someone keep a specification for a little project in 3 languages? I'll have to promote the dumping of the German version, can publish it with the Dutch one just for fun.

Why don't they teach CVS on highschool?

New Advogato Features

New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.
