Well.. today some question come to my mind.. It's not now the time to rewrite the world from scratch ?
It's a bit stupid maintain a lot of patches ( and generating another ones ) in old software projects.
Ok, maybe they still working, sometime as good as they must, but with new technologies, and programming techniques, all those time expended in patching and fixing ( remember that for some time equals money ), we could rewrite and maybe ( i said maybe ) improve them...
Let's expand such insanity to real world..
Political systems proved that not working everywhere, but maintained ( with "economic patches" ) to still giving resources for who already have, and all population increase, then if in the past 10% have the resources, now can be 1% or less, and the rest of 99% is suffering all causes that lack of life resources can produce.
It's proved that system IS working, but for a few as they must be..
Need be rewrote...

Raining cold day at Curitiba, Moby with Sinead O'Connor on the phone.. There some things that looks like made to match even not intended.
Everythings change, a day or another..
Now i'm saying goodbye to my old department and moving to a new ( and old knowed ) one...
It's seem to be a natural move, since from recent times i adding more and more similar caracteristics and tasks from the new one...
Alongside my moving, a friend from old department is going to take new breath in other company, far from here, as many others in the past that remains as a good friends... This guys, with me, pratically made this place, since they're created when i arrived at Conectiva, and all old core is not here anymore.. I believe that all of them, like me, will miss a lot the good ( and bad ) days that we live here.
Everythings change, a day or another

Damned weekend.. Everythings gone's wrong...
Tip: Never set up friend's meetings or make plans to your weekend unless you really assure that NOTHING will happens and change plans in the day...
I know, i know, Magic 8 ball doesn't work well and need their project to be improved.
I'm running again to regenerate kde update packages due to a misleading internal version naming.. Duhh for me..
At least one thing was good. I'm closed my critical bugs at snapshot.conectiva ( http://snapshot.conectiva.com.br ).
Changing topic, KDE developers are evaluating changes in bug track system. I'll give my vote to Bugzilla, since we're using at Conectiva for a long time and new version is easily and smart to handle. Just ( still ) need rewrite bug report form to be almos perfect.

Heh, nice ARK bug report !!
Some guy reported that a 400 Mb ( !! ) tar.gz file is causing ARK crash..
That's ok, could be a bug, but see their log report:
...
/bin/tar
In file tools/qgarray.cpp, line 126: Out of memory
...
Well, i'll try to figure out a better way to handle this better than add more swap or another memory chip :-)
This specific bug will be reassigned to core kdelibs developers, since ARK uses ktar class, not owns implementation ( how beatifull is KDE class structures :-), but i thought that other file types can be suffer of same disease...
Hard is create a compressed file large than 400 Mb with a slow harddisk..

Well, another package race...
Since security flaw announce in KDE ( Konqueror ), i'm running to finishing another set of kde packages to Conectiva Update. Now has three diferent machines compiling diferent versions of KDE...
Meanwhile, i send Conectiva packages to kbear project ( BJörn is doing great job ), fixed some bus in my bugzilla list.
My personal audio app repository got a stop in this weekend, i was in at my friend's home ( almost a brother ), in my fathers town, to their 1 year son birthday. Well, the party was more for us ( old friend guys ) than the boy. Many people, good times, many laughs..
I wish places in Brazil was a bit closer and this moments not so rare..
