More tzfile madness. I'm not reading in one part of the file apparently. It'll all work out in the end I'm sure. I'm mainly posting this entry so my sister can see what my diary is like. Hi Carey!

Aspiring free software developer. Most of my involvement is with GNOME, such as answering questions in #gnome (my nick is harvey), making the _v_ build scripts work, and helping with websites. I'm taking care of sawfish.org right now. jdub and I have Evil Plans for nautilus.gnome.org. Right now I'm at the Harvard Summer School in Cambridge. My foray into real hacking consists of trying to do stuff with XST.

A totally kick-ass day. Duncan met me for Japanese food on Newbury St., and he showed me around the Ximian offices. It was there that I came to the hard realization that I'm still a fanboy and need lots of practice. I'm proudly wearing my new Ximian shirt. Summer wraps up in the next three days, which is really hard to believe. Once things settle into the same-ol, same-ol of life back in California (albeit senior year), I'll be able to some real hacking. Famous last words for me, it seems. It's time for pictures, notes, and goodbyes, *sigh*.
It seems that I'm falling further and further down the slippery slope of not sleeping in any sane pattern. (It's 8 AM here, and I'm not yet asleep)
jonallen: Sounds good, if you have any questions about the site, mail jdub or me.
Some sawfish.org muckage, some nautilus.gnome.org planning, and some tzfile frustration. Extra unread data at the end of the file doesn't sound like a good thing to me. My summer is rapidly coming to a close, finals on Thursday. Hopefully I'll get to meet some my bostonian irc friends before I go though.
I made some progress towards my XST goal, well-documented binary files are surprisingly easy to read. I'm sure that I'm going to be longing for python again before long though...

New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.
