Today is -fortunately- my last day of vacations. Why am I so happy about it? Because the last three weeks were hell for me. I just moved, and there is an awful lot of things to do at home - So many that I almost cried in despair yesterday, not knowing where to start. Besides, I am helping a very good friend of mine who has a terminal kidney disease, so the bits of free time I had were given to him.
And I just noticed I had a lot of pending work I set to do during this 3-week period - Finishing an administrative system for my faculty's bookstore, finishing a set of scripts to register talks for a coloquium (is this word legal in English?), migrating from Exim to Postfix on one of my servers... :-/
At least, today I got some very good news: I submitted an application to become a Debian Developer about 6 months ago. Today my Application Manager told me he approved my application and will reccomend me as a New Mantainer - So with all the pending work to do, I'm having a good day :)
BTW... How many of you prefer being alone at work than being at home? During this three weeks, this is the fourth time I came to my office to get some rest and peace of mind (even I find it difficult to believe). I think I'll be here tomorrow too. Am I too nerdy? Well, yes, but... :)
