Wow, about 3/2 months without a diary entry!

I was on vacation between 20001225 and 20010107. Meantime I learnt some things about navigation, seatides and astronomical orientation. Quite nice pieces of "unuseable" culture ;)

As of the beggining of the year, I am one of the Conectiva "buildmasters" (as Claudio Matsuoka, big IQ and a nice person to work with.) The rightwingers are 0wn1n6 the distribution now ! Beware rudá ! ;)

KDE 2.1 (still in beta stage but susprisingly stable, even better than 2.01) is almost out, our packages are ready.

I am really happy with Brazilian Government's initiative to build cheap PCs (US$ 200) with Linux, KDE, Koffice and Konqueror. Of course, I am KDE-biased, but the real great news is that Linux will be the "fist OS" of a lot of people. Definitively, the govt is at least *trying* to make the Right Thing (TM) sometimes ;)
