It has been a long time since I posted one of these. Just
thought I'd keep the bits flowing, and mention that I'll be
at LinuxWorld/SF in the next week or so, mostly around the
small booth for the Free Standards Group, in promotion of
the Linux Standard Base.

I'm happy to be a part of the Linux Standard Base working
meeting this Monday through Wednesday. I've seen a lot of
progress in the past couple of months and am very excited
about the doors that a Linux standard opens.

There are a lot of people, from a lot of Linux companies
and outside application developers, participating next week.
While there is always some disagreement over finer points,
the movement is almost universally in the same direction.
Seeing support for this from so many places makes me happy.

I finally got around to signing up for an account here, and
rasmus was
kind enough to vouch for me so I could post to stories (and
create this diary entry). Interesting concept, this trust
metrics... I'll have to spend some time looking at it
eventually.

I'm very happy to be getting involved in Linux benchmarks
nowadays, and hope to post some findings here in the future.
