Strict interpretation of the cert rules would make me an Apprentice, but only because I am not a primary author of any free software project. I'm an excellent C/SQL coder, a fair Pike/zsh scripter, and know enough Perl to fix bugs in other people's programs and stay as far away from it as possible the rest of the time.

Wait.. I did release a Lotus 1-2-3 spreadsheet decryption program back in 1993, which included source. So I am the principal author of an important free software product, which would make me a Master. As far as I know, it's the only 1-2-3 v2 cracker on the market :) Unfortunately, this was back when Usenet via UUCP was hot, so this is the only online reference to it. (arg. wait for google to bring deja's news archives back online before clicking this link. Here's a local copy.)

I've also got my name in the credits files for a couple dozen programs floating out there. I'm a patcher; I find a feature I don't like (or would like), make a patch and send it to the author.
